Booking your first home physiotherapy session can feel uncertain if you've only ever visited a clinic. Here's exactly what happens, from booking to the end of your first visit, across our Kazhakootam to Nagercoil service area.

Before the visit: a short intake call

After you book a home visit, our team calls to understand your condition, mobility level and goals — this helps match you with the right physiotherapist and lets them prepare the right equipment in advance.

What the physiotherapist brings

Our therapists arrive with a portable assessment kit — resistance bands, a goniometer for joint measurement, exercise mats and any condition-specific tools. You don't need to arrange anything beyond a reasonably clear space to move in.

The assessment (first 20–30 minutes)

Expect questions about your pain history, previous injuries or surgeries, and daily activity levels, followed by a physical assessment of movement, strength and pain response. This is more thorough than many clinic visits, since there's no time pressure from a waiting room.

Your first treatment

Based on the assessment, the therapist begins hands-on treatment and teaches you 2–4 exercises to practise between visits. If your condition also has an Ayurvedic therapy option — such as for back pain or arthritis — they'll flag whether combining home Ayurveda therapy would help.

What happens after

You'll receive a simple written or verbal plan — what to do daily, and when your next session should be. For structured conditions (post-surgery, sports injury, chronic pain), see our full physiotherapy services page to understand which specific track fits you.
